Wow your water!

Wow your water!

You’ve given up the sugary drinks but you’re already bored with water and it’s just not fun. Adding a variety of flavor and nutrients to your water as you stay hydrated all day can help replace those sugary drinks. Trying to include herbal iced teas a couple of times a day will also break up the blahs.  Lemon water is the best way to start the day, but here are some fun water infusions to brighten up your water each day.

Your infusions will be that much better in a nice glass pitcher. You don’t have to get too fancy, but one with a straining lid will make life a little easier. You also want the fruit and herb ingredients to be fresh and organic. Make sure to wash everything and if you can’t find organic options, make sure to remove the peels.

Cucumber Mint Water

Thinly slice one organic cucumber (remove peel if not organic) and add to your glass pitcher. Mint quantity can vary based on your preference. You can either muddle the mint leaves or add whole leaves. Fill the pitcher with filtered water, stir gently, and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours, better overnight.

Orange Grape Water

Thinly slice an organic orange with the peel and quarter about 2 cups of organic grapes. Add fruits to your pitcher and fill with filtered water. Stir gently and refrigerate overnight.

Orange Blueberry Water

Thinly slice an organic orange with the peel and add to the pitcher. Add 1 cup of organic blueberries (best to only use organic here) and stir gently. Refrigerate overnight.

Strawberry Lemon Water

Thinly slice 15-20 organic strawberries (best only to use organic here). Thinly slice an organic lemon with the peel. Add fruit to the pitcher, fill with filtered water and stir gently. Refrigerate overnight.

Try mixing some tropical fruits or other herbs like basil. Be nimble and experiment, keeping it fun as you find your favorites. Give it a try and share some of your combos. Cheers!
